Dr. Marshawn Martin is a highly experienced leader who has worked in both for-profit and non-profit industries within national and international markets. Dr. Martin brings over 20 years’ experience, applying a strong expertise in data-driven strategic planning and corporate training for both sales and operations. She is the founder of the consulting company Talk Story With Me LLC and current faculty at the University of Hawai’i Hilo College of Business and Economics.

While pursuing her doctorate, Dr. Martin’s research delved into women’s leadership competencies and the accuracy of leadership competency assumptions. Dr. Martin’s passion is in sharing these statistics to empower female leaders with the knowledge and confirmation of their contributions. Her hope is that women will lead with their natural abilities and not assume traditional traits that might have been taught. There are years of evidence to confirm what we already know; we are capable and exceptional leaders! Dr. Martin supports existing leaders and gives inspiration to developing leaders and dreamers.
