Kiara Lanier is a musician, certified reiki practitioner and sound healer from Chicago. She is known for her music and acting roles on American Idol, Empire, The Tonight Show, and The Chi. Kiara sits on the Foundations committee for the Grammy Recording Academy and produces music for television, film, and commercials with clients to include Nike, Showtime, Stars, and Fox.
She has curated and performed in experiential events that inteoduce audience to wellness resources and supplements for over 8 years and has had curatorial clients to include The Soho House for over two years and brands to include Louis Vuitton, Krug Champagne, Soho House, Bacardi, and Red Bull .
Kiara’s mission is to discover how music can create pathways toward healing and transformation. Born of a family lineage of black yogi’s, Shamons, entrepreneurs and priests, she utilizes her skills in the science of sound , performance art and curatorial marketing to create multi sensory remarkable experiential concerts and wellness retreats.
Kiara has performed in numerous contemporary art exhibitions in museums to include Kunst Museum (Art Basel Switzerland) Palais De Tokyo, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Serpentine Gallery, and more. Kiara’s performance and musical style has been highly inspired by the movements of the AACM Afro futuristic jazz ensemble, Josephine Baker, Meredith Monk and Alexander Ekman. She has trained in site specific performance from the former dean of Dance at Cal Arts, Stephan Koplowitz and has trained with The Meredith Monk Foundation.
Kiara is the president and CEO of Circa Wellness Society , the first of its kind global holistic health hospitality company with locations starting in Senegal Ghana and the UAE.
